Tennessee Wildlife Federation is honored to announce one of its newest Corporate Council members, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)

TVA is the nation’s largest government-owned power provider. Based in Knoxville, TVA delivers energy to more than 10 million people and businesses in seven southeastern states.

But beyond providing safe and reliable energy, TVA is also dedicated to the environmental stewardship of the Tennessee Valley. The organization manages the Tennessee River and constantly works to improve the impacts of its operations through ongoing air and water quality projects. TVA oversees 293,000 acres of reservoir land, 11,000 miles of shoreline, and 80 public recreation areas.

“The Federation is excited to partner with an organization that not only does great work for Tennessean’s but also prioritizes the valley’s wildlife and natural resources,” said chief development officer, Kendall McCarter. “Having our two like-minded organizations partner together will allow us to invest further in Tennessee’s great outdoors for years to come.”

TVA’s support will enable Tennessee Wildlife Federation to grow its statewide operations. This includes engaging more youth in the outdoors, restoring more habitat, and advocating for legislation that conserves our wildlife and natural resources.

TVA joins other major corporate supporters of the Federation’s mission including Academy Sports + Outdoors, Bridgestone Americas, FedEx, First Horizon, Patagonia, and YETI, among others.
