For a full week in July, some of the country’s top young Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) athletes—including more than 350 from Tennessee—descended on Marengo, Ohio to compete for national titles in trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Tennessee athletes competed in all three shooting disciplines representing each age group, from rookie through collegiate.
Many of our athletes placed at the top of the leaderboards including 10 first-place finishers and 29 other top-five finishers.
“Tennessee Wildlife Federation and the Tennessee SCTP team couldn’t be more proud of the individuals, teams, and coaches who participated and represented our state so well,” said Andrew Peercy, Tennessee SCTP manager. “This was a great year for our athletes and we look forward to many more great years to come.”
