Tennessee Wildlife Federation is proud to announce Delta Waterfowl as its title sponsor for the 2024 Davis P. Rice Memorial Youth Waterfowl Hunt.
The youth waterfowl hunt will be held February 2–3 in Dyersburg, Tenn., and is the largest event held by the Federation’s Hunting and Fishing Academy. Through participation in the weekend, youth ages 16 and younger learn valuable outdoor skills while building community and an appreciation for the great outdoors. This annual event also funds additional hunting and fishing programming that engages hundreds more youths, parents, and adults in outdoor activities each year.
The Davis P. Rice Memorial Youth Waterfowl Hunt is an annual duck hunt in honor of Davis P. Rice who tragically passed away in 2007. The invitation-only event remembers the young man through his favorite pastime and fosters an appreciation for wildlife conservation in youth.
“We are grateful for the 14 years of sponsorship from Delta Waterfowl for the Davis P. Rice Memorial Youth Waterfowl Hunt,” said Jeb Beasley, Hunting and Fishing Academy manager. “Their contributions always exceed our expectations and help raise the bar for the silent auction every year.”
The silent auction is open to the public and includes art, collectibles, outdoor gear, equipment, and more donated by Delta Waterfowl and other sponsors.
