For nearly a year, Tennessee Wildlife Federation has been focused on coordinating a multi-state push to secure $25 million in federal funding to block and tackle Asian carp in the Southeast.
Asian carp are a serious threat to our aquatic ecosystems, recreation, and economy.
In November, the Senate approved the $25 million spending bill. The House and Senate are negotiating in conference committee and will then submit the final bill to the President for veto or passage. To help secure passage, the Federation has issued an urgent call to action for people to reach out to their congressional House members and ask them to adopt the Senate version of the bill.
