Tennessee Wildlife Federation is a consistent voice for our state’s wildlife, ensuring the concerns of outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen are represented by our elected officials.
One of those concerns is Asian carp.
In October, the Federation held its second Asian carp grassroots action call. This call was open to the public and included an update on Asian Carp federal appropriations efforts, highlights from the field, and a question and answer session.
It featured guest presenter, Ron Brooks, of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. For more than 10 years, Ron served as Fisheries Division Director and has been leading the state’s efforts to address the Asian carp problem. In this call, he shares information about Kentucky’s program, and experimental gears and collaborative methods to maximize Asian carp removal.
