Hunters For The Hungry Donors Win Knight Rifle Muzzleloaders

August 19, 2019/in Hunters, Hunters for the Hungry, News /by Kristine Fedorenko

“Every Hunters for the Hungry season, we’re impressed by the generosity of deer hunters and the dedication of wild game processors across the state,” said Matt Simcox, Hunters for the Hungry manager. “It takes a group effort to provide for those in need and we’re grateful for Tennesseans who are willing to give back to their communities.”

This past season marked the second-best year in program history—providing 581,000 meals to hunger relief organizations in 2018.

And to show their appreciation for this great work, Tennessee-based Knight Rifles donated four muzzleloaders to be given to four lucky hunters who donated whole deer to the program.

Out of nearly 1,931 generous hunters statewide, one from each region was randomly drawn.

Region 1: James Tugwell

Region 2: Brad Major

Region 3: John Pyle

Region 4: Martin Webb

On behalf of the Federation, congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all of hunters and supporters who make Hunters for the Hungry possible.

A special thank you to Knight Rifle for providing the muzzleloaders.
