Federation Welcomes New Development Manager

December 1, 2017/in Achievements, News /by Kate Hill

Tennessee Wildlife Federation welcomes Zach Barnhart as its new development manager.

As an integral member of the development team, Zach will cultivate donor relationships, contribute to fundraising campaigns, and strategically engage Federation supporters.

“Tennessee Wildlife Federation is excited to welcome Zach to our development team. Zach brings with him a love for the outdoors and a desire to affect change by connecting people with philanthropy. Those passions in combination with his development background will serve as huge assets for the Federation,” said Kendall McCarter, chief development officer.

Zach boasts an impressive start to his development career. Previously, he served as the associate director of development for Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. In that role, Zach created and implemented development strategies to increase the foundation’s revenue and improve stewardship while engaging donors. Zach also assisted with capital and major gift campaigns and gift allocations.

Prior to his time at Ole Miss, Zach served as a development associate for University of Maryland Terrapin Club. In that role, Zach led the Young Alumni giving program, directly engaged more than 3,000 donors, and assisted annual fund campaign efforts.

Zach is an avid sportsman who enjoys hunting and fishing, shooting sports, and hiking. He is excited to join the nonprofit community where he will have the pleasure to connect with Federation supporters and influence conservation in Tennessee.

Zach is a native of Pennsylvania and holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
