Mission Statement: To champion the conservation, sound management and enjoyment of Tennessee's wildlife and natural resources for current and future generations through stewardship, advocacy and education.

The Tennessee Wildlife Federation is the largest statewide organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and natural resources through stewardship, advocacy and education. We bring together and represent the varied interests of people who enjoy the great outdoors.

1. The Tennessee Wildlife Federation (TWF) is the largest and oldest nonprofit wildlife and natural resources conservation organization in Tennessee. 
2. Founded as the Tennessee Conservation League by outdoor writers and community leaders in 1946, TWF champions the conservation of Tennessee’s wildlife and natural resources for current and future generations through stewardship, advocacy and education. 
3. TWF brings together and represents the various interests of sportsmen, outdoor enthusiasts and affiliate organizations committed to conserving our state’s wildlife and natural resources.
4. TWF's membership comprises a diverse group of individuals - hunters, anglers, bird watchers, hikers, gardeners and everyone who enjoys the great outdoors - united by our concern and compassion for wildlife and our natural resources.
5. TWF provides educational programs that enable parents, teachers and volunteers to teach Tennesseans of all ages - including many who otherwise might not have the opportunity - about our wildlife and natural resources and the importance of conserving them.
6. TWF serves as the voice of reason and a statewide advocate for the conservation, sound management and sustainable use of Tennessee’s wildlife and natural resources.
7. TWF monitors and recommends wildlife, water and land policies, aligns the interests of various groups - including members, businesses, organizations and legislators - and mobilizes public response and support on issues and policies affecting Tennessee’s wildlife and habitat.
